Hello there! Thanks for stopping by! My name is Fawn, and I’m the girl behind Rumfield Homestead. I’m your average twenty-something. I’ve been married for a few years to Ethan, the man behind my big projects and biggest cheerleader. On the weekends, you’ll find me at the salvage shop or a garage sale hunting for junk. I’ve got way too many ongoing projects in my garage, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve got a bigger sweet tooth than anyone I’ve ever met, and I love watching musicals and documentaries (interesting mix, I know). I’m not athletic at all, but I can throw down when it comes to baking a pie (we all have our talents, right?).
I started this blog because I was tired of hating my home. I know how frustrating it can be when you just don’t love where you live. My house doesn’t look like the fancy design magazines I love reading, but each day I work a little bit on making our 1895 Victorian house a little more ours. We are restoring this old house DIY style, paying for everything in cash, and working on things in between juggling two little ones underfoot. It’s a crazy adventure, but I hope you’ll stick around for the ride!

You and your entire life are adorable! Can I please be you when I grow up?!
First off I want to say superb blog! I had a quick question which
I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your mind before writing.
I’ve had trouble clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out there.
I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to
15 minutes are lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or hints?
Kudos!
I don’t even understand how I ended up below, but I was thinking this post was
great. I tend not to recognise who you are however certainly you will be visiting a famous blogger in the
event you are not already. Cheers!
Enjoying your blog. So happy I stumbled upon it on instagram. Love your ideas and you have inspired me to take pictures and start my own blog. Thanks a bunch.
Hi I just discovered you and I’m fascinated cuz I think I’m an up and coming you! I’ve been married a year, live in a rental and am hoping to start a blog (thecuningwife) because I’m tired of hating my home and think it will help me be inspired to keep trying. Plus I love redoing furniture and cooking new recipes. So far I live your blog, how real you are and how much your life sounds like mine!!
